Cliff Richard raises eyebrows with ‘cringey’ dance moves as he pays tribute to Elvis Presley on Loose Women

Cliff Richard raised eyebrows on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women as he ‘gyrated’ around the stage while showing off his dance moves.

The legendary singer, 82, strutted his stuff in a snazzy outfit as he donned a multi-coloured shimmering blazer and a matching shirt.

The Move It hitmaker also wore a bright gold tie along with a pair of black trousers and dark brown shoes.

Promoting his upcoming book A Head Full Of Music, Cliff told how he pays tribute to Elvis Presley in the tome.

The singer recalled hearing Elvis singing Heartbreak Hotel on the radio for the first time and thinking, ‘I have to do this’.

‘We chased it,’ he said. ‘Luck comes your way to all of at some point, but you need to grab it by the throat.’

Co-host Kaye Adams remarked that while Elvis was known for his voice, he is also well remembered for his dance moves.

Cliff, with the encouragement of the audience, then stood up and showed off his best Elvis-inspired dance moves.

The singer then jokingly said: ‘I’m not coming on this show again!’

The moves didn’t go down well with all viewers however as one fan took to Twitter and said: ‘Cliff Richard is so cringey’.

Another wrote: ‘None of us need to see Cliff Richard gyrating when we’re having our lunch’. 

Others were pleased to see the star back on screens, with one writing: ‘Fantastic to see Cliff Richard on Loose Women. For me, he is the greatest singer of all time. 

‘From his wonderful Christmas songs to cinema films and more. He’s done it all and he’s still got a lot more to offer us.’
