A man has fallen to his death while climbing a wall at an indoor recreational centre after suffering critical head and chest injuries.

Paramedics were called to the indoor climbing centre on Unwins Bridge Road, St Peters, in Sydney’s inner west just before 11.30am on Wednesday to reports a man had fallen while rock climbing.

It’s understood the man is aged in his 20s or 30s.

He was treated at the scene but was unable to be saved with NSW Police also responding to the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
