Cody Simpson has gushed about new girlfriend Miley Cyrus, hours after he was heard complaining about her and saying that she ‘won’t listen to him.’
The 22-year-old took to his Instagram story on Thursday and shared a picture of the pair together, before describing her as his ‘archangel and best mate.’
‘Miss you every second,’ the Australian singer wrote in his post.

‘Home tomorrow and so, so glad,’ he wrote, with Cody being in Sydney for The Masked Singer Australia, despite being based in Los Angeles.
It comes after he put on a brave face on Thursday night after being overheard complaining about Miley.

Earlier on Thursday, he was overheard complaining about Miley, 26, at Sydney’s Andrew Boy Charlton Pool while on the phone.
‘We had a weird one yesterday… not really an argument but she kind of shut down,’ Simpson was overheard saying.

‘Yeah, it was kind of s**tty, but whatever,’ he added.
A Speedo-clad Simpson then spoke about the negative response to his new romance from fans in Australia, saying that his fellow countrymen remain loyal to Miley’s estranged husband, Liam Hemsworth.
‘I’m copping s**t here because of [her] exes. You know, her husband is Australian,’ Simpson said, according to an onlooker sitting nearby.

Simpson and Cyrus began dating just two months after the American singer announced her separation from Hemsworth, who she married in a private ceremony in December.
