Coles launches new Aldi-inspired ‘Best Buys’ range from Friday but it’s not available in every store

Coles ‘Best Buys’ range of winter winter homewares hits the shelves on Friday in SOME supermarkets – so where can you find the bargains in your state?

  • Coles has launched latest installment in its new Aldi-inspired ‘Best Buys’ range
  • Winter products including quilts and pillows available starting from Friday
  • Deals only available in certain stores ahead of national roll-out in coming weeks
  • Unveiled the range at start of June offering exclusive products every fortnight

Coles has launched the latest installment in its new Aldi-inspired ‘Best Buys’ range by offering discount deals on winter merchandise.

The grocery giant unveiled the range at the start of June – offering exclusive products every fortnight not traditionally sold in supermarkets.

Coles will be selling a total of 30 winter homeware products like quilts, pillows and throws from Friday in special ‘Best Buys’ bins.

Weighted blankets – which normally retail for about $200 – are on sale for $79.

A faux fur throw meanwhile can be had for $19.99, while a machine-washable blend queen size doona is on sale for $54.99.

The deals will only be available though in certain stores ahead of an expected national roll-out in the coming weeks.

Coles has launched the latest winter-themed installment in its Aldi-inspired ‘Best Buys’ range offering discounts on general merchandise – including throws, quilts and pillows

‘When Coles was started by GJ Coles more than 100 years ago, we did have general merchanise so it’s not entirely new,’ Coles spokeswoman Martine Alpins said.

‘We’ve chosen stores that have a lot of space so that the shopping experience is still really pleasant and you’ve got lots of room to find these items.’

The first wave of fortnightly deals released on June 1 featured 30 ‘premium’ cookware items including a 3.5-litre digital air fryer for $69.99 and Dutch ovens from $19.99.

Other items from the budget range include cast iron saucepans, grill pans and fry pans for $16.99, a four pack of mason jars from $3.99 and silicone cooking utensils.

The ‘Best Buys’ will be a fortnightly event and evolve with different themes in each new batch.

‘We have introduced Coles Best Buys to add some sparkle to the shopping experience as well as provide convenient and affordable options to our customers,’ Coles general manager for health and home Jonathan Torr said.

‘Customers have told us they love it when they can get all of their needs in the one store.

‘We think they are going to love our new range, which is a great example of the good things we’re doing to inspire customers by offering them great quality, value and going beyond what they expected when they walked into our store.’

Last month, Aldi Australia launched its Special Buys range, featuring cast iron and enamel pots, pans and baking dishes.
