Supermarket giant Coles has launched a new ‘Portuguese’ hot roast chicken.
Covered in mildly spiced Peri Peri seasoning, the cooked chooks, retailed at $12 each, are stuffed with Mediterranean cous cous filling.
Available in stores Australian-wide, the latest range joins the cabinets alongside the classic hot roast chickens, which have been a crowd favourite among shoppers in recent years.
‘Coles Portuguese Hot Roast Chicken is a new additional to the BBQ warmer,’ a Coles spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

The Coles spokesman also confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the offer for a free standard Hot Roast Chicken still applies for shoppers.
If you arrive at your closest store only to discover there are no more classic chickens available in the cabinet, then you can simply ask the deli for ‘The Coles Hot Roast Chicken voucher’.
The voucher is redeemable within seven days so you can receive a free chook the next time you shop at the store.
This deal does not apply to the new Portuguese Hot Roast Chicken.

The woman had noticed a sticker below the empty chicken cabinet promising customers a free hot roast chicken if there were none left.
The deal available at selected stores requires customers to alert staff to the empty cabinet between 11am and closing. Once they do so, they would be entitled to a free cooked chook once the shelves have been re-stocked.
