Common reveals he’s ‘evolved’ as a person thanks to his relationship with Tiffany Haddish
He’s been dating Tiffany Haddish for more than a year.
And Common says he has ‘evolved’ as a result of the relationship.
‘I think one of the important things about relationships for me has been to really know myself more and love myself and be able to express the things that I want. I’ve evolved and gotten to that place,’ he said on People’s Every Day podcast on Wednesday.

The rapper and actor, 49, first met Haddish, 41, on the set of 2019’s The Kitchen.
They started dating in April 2020 although they kept their romance under wraps until August when Common confirmed in an interview that they were a couple.
He explained to People how he’s grown over the course of the relationship, saying: ‘I listen and take things in and try to do my best to understand.
‘I listen to what Tiffany would have to say about how she feels about something and just try to understand it instead of always having an answer.’
Common added: ‘It’s about really just being in a relationship where you can grow and you really support each other’s purpose and vision.’
Haddish was previously married to William Stewart from 2008 until 2013.

Last November, Common revealed to People that he has grown so close to his girlfriend that they take personal care tips from one another.
Specifically, the performer noted that, ‘I would definitely say that we definitely inspire each other,’ and added, ‘I will bounce ideas off of her, and she will check with me and ask how certain things look, how well she’s put together.’
Common also expressed that, although he ultimately trusts himself concerning his personal appearance, he is grateful for the support that Haddish provides.
‘I follow my intuition more than anything, but I respect the support and ideas. And she gives me the same thing and she does the same thing,’ he said.
