- Truck driver leaves its cabin behind in the middle of a busy road in Sydney
- Cabin abandoned near a busy roundabout, where traffic is banked up behind it
- Dash cam footage is believed to have from a number of years ago in Ingleburn
Bewildering dash cam footage has emerged of a truck driver leaving its cabin behind in the middle of a busy road, causing a traffic jam as frustrated motorists shook their heads in disbelief.
Believed to have been filmed in Ingleburn in Sydney’s southwest, the footage shows that an oblivious truck driver has left some important cargo behind.
As a result, its cabin is left abandoned near a busy roundabout, where traffic is banked up behind it bumper to bumper.
Many motorists stuck in the traffic jam would have been oblivious that what has caused the delay isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Forgotten something? Believed to have been filmed in Ingleburn in Sydney’s south west, a truck cabin was abandoned near a busy roundabout, leaving traffic banked up behind it
‘That’s gonna be awkward when he gets to his destination’ the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook post states.
While it appears the dash cam footage was filmed a number of years ago, there was no shortage of interest on social media, where it sparked almost 4500 reactions, more than 2100 shares and 1600 comments within three hours of being posted on Facebook.
‘I’ve never driven a truck but I have a good feeling it would be a lot lighter if this happened,’ one man commented on the post.
Another added: ‘Just lucky for everyone that it happened when the truck was stopped. I hate to think what would have happened if it detached at speed.’
The traffic chaos backed up the Ingleburn industrial area for the afternoon, according to one motorist.
‘It looks like he didn’t do a tug test but also when I went past I saw a lot of fluid on the ground so maybe something broke and caused a leak in the lines. Was certainly feeling for the driver as it’s both costly and embarrassing especially at a generally busy roundabout at knockoff time,’ he commented.

Others saw the funny side.
‘All the cars behind are gonna feel stupid when they realise they’re waiting on a trailer that ain’t moving,’ one person commented.
‘Seen a internal camera view of a truckie realising after 30 mins asterion trailer was missing… Best expression ever.’
