Conrad Sewell announces he is expecting his first child with fiancée Jasmine Hingston

Australian singer Conrad Sewell has announced he is expecting his first child, a baby boy, with fiancée Jasmine Hingston which is due in January.

‘I feel like you can never be prepared, but in a weird way I am ready for it,’ the 33-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday.

The news comes just days after the Start Again singer announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend, who he has previously described as The One. 

‘When it is right, it is easy,’ he said of the announcement. 

‘We have a very real relationship. It is hard being away from each other a lot, but we are working on that, we are making plans. I am all in.’

Conrad first revealed his new love in an interview with Daily Mail Australia in March last year.

While at a Sony Foundation event in Sydney, he said: ‘I’ve got a new girl I’ve been hanging out with who’s Australian.’

The Healing Hands singer added that he’s known Jasmine since he was a teenager.

The Brisbane-born pop star, who previously dated Alli Simpson for just over a year, confirmed his mystery love was ‘not a celebrity’.

‘I’ve learnt from my mistakes,’ he said with a laugh, before adding: ‘I don’t want to date anyone in the public eye.’

Conrad and Alli first met at the 2015 ARIA Awards, but met up again at Coachella in April 2017, whereupon they started dating. 

But their romance didn’t last, with Alli confirming their split in June 2018.
