Australian singer Conrad Sewell’s Instagram account was hacked on Sunday, with his first nine images and profile picture bizarrely replaced with a camera logo without explanation.

But one person who was worried more than most was his friend and radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who publicly shared a message from the hacker who threatened to ‘delete her account’ if she didn’t play the rules.

In a since deleted post, a panicked Jackie wrote: ‘Is this a scam @conradofficial? I haven’t used any of Conrad’s material???? Wtf!!!!!

‘Would love to know if anyone else has had a similar experience with this. I haven’t clicked on any links btw.’

The messages in question saw Conrad’s hacked account tell Jackie: ‘We’ve received complaints that you violated Instagram copyright. Copyright is very important to us; if no objections are made within 24 hours, your account will be deleted!’

They then asked Jackie to fill in a form to ‘appeal’, which she obviously did not do.

It appears Jackie quickly realised it was a fake message, as she swiftly deleted the post from her page shortly after.

Meanwhile, Conrad’s page appears to be going back to business as usual, with his nine hacked photos being swiftly deleted later in the afternoon.

Conrad, 32, is best known for his vocals on Kygo’s single Firestone and his number-one single Start Again.

Earlier this year, the Brisbane-born musician revealed to The Daily Telegraph that he was giving up his ‘rock star’ lifestyle in favour of a much healthier one.

‘Now I want to get into the best shape of my life, train six days a week, up cardio to an hour a day and cook more at home,’ he said in March 2021.

‘I live by the motto that you need to enjoy the process, be present and trust that everything happens for a reason — you’re exactly where you need to be right now.’
