The Coogee home once owned by Jennifer Hawkins and her husband Jake Wall has been resold for $3.16 million.

Initially listed for $3.5 million, the townhouse-like property was brought down to $3.2 million before being pulled from its scheduled February auction, according to realestate.com.au. 

The Sydney home finally sold mid-last week and spans 240sqm over four levels, and boasts three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, including Japanese-style ensuites.

It also features an open plan custom kitchen, state-of-the-art-appliances, an ocean-view terrace, polished concrete ceilings, and an alfresco deck and pool. 

The home is located just 400 metres from Coogee Beach and is close to Gordon’s Bay.

Former Miss Universe Jennifer, 35, and her builder husband Jake, 36, struggled to sell the lavish property after initially buying it for $2.27 million in 2008.

The house was eventually sold for $2.22 million in 2012 after the asking price was lowered, according to Nine Honey Homes.

At the time, Jennifer tweeted her relief: ‘Wow. The property market in Sydney is tough but I’m SO excited to have been one of the lucky ones.’ 

Jennifer and Jake have a property and business empire, estimated to be worth $10 million, according to news.com.au.

In 2014, she told The Sydney Morning Herald that she has worked hard for her success.

‘…I’ve worked hard. Everyone gets out what they put in. I definitely look at everything and go ”Wow”, it feels nice,’ she said.

She described property investment and flipping houses as ‘thrilling’ and ‘wise’.

‘I find it thrilling. In the beginning it was an investment thing, investing my money wisely, it was the right thing to do when I was jumping into this industry,’ she said.

‘Then the design side really attracted me and I find it really enjoyable, to be honest.’

‘You have a team of people and you start from scratch and then you have the plans and then you’re in this amazing house. It feels really rewarding.’
