Coors Light will do LAUNDRY for football fans

Weekend football games are a must-watch for many sports fanatics out there – but unfortunately, weekend chores are also an unavoidable obligation for plenty of sports-loving people… until now.

In order to ensure that football fanatics are able to enjoy their favorite games without any distractions, Coors Light is now offering to do the laundry of dedicated sports lovers, so they can focus their full attention on supporting their beloved teams.

According to the beverage brand, Saturday is ‘the most popular day of the week to do laundry and chores’, however it is also the day when college teams take to the field to compete in the NCAA competition.

So, Coors Light teamed up with cleaning company Tide in order to take the burden of clothes washing off football fans – who, as part of a new initiative, can drop off their laundry at a local bar, from which it will be transported to a professional facility to be cleaned and folded, before being delivered back to the customer’s home.

‘Saturday is college football game day, but unfortunately for fans everywhere, it’s also the most popular day of the week to do laundry and chores,’ the beer company explained in a statement.

‘As the beer made to chill, Coors Light believes chores shouldn’t get in the way of game day. That’s why this college football season, Coors Light will keep your chores light.

‘In a national partnership with Tide Cleaners, Coors Light will do your laundry, so you can spend more time at the bar watching college football.’

The beverage brand has signed up bars in Cincinnati, Denver, and Chicago to take part in its ‘Coors Light, Chores Light, initiative, which is taking place on Saturday, October 8.

Bars include Tin Lizzie in Chicago, Brother’s Bar and Grill in Denver, and Keystone Bar & Grill in Cincinnati.

And for those not located in any of the participating cities, Coors Light has launched an online contest through which sports fans across the country can win professional laundry services.

‘Finally, a proposal to make the laundry less of the harrowing experience it is presently,’ one person wrote on Twitter.

Another chimed in: ‘Can’t wait to have someone else do my laundry!’

And the beverage company is not the only food and drinks brand branching out of their usual remit this week.
