Samsara have revealed that although their account started off as a joke, their follower numbers have exploded in recent months – and they would love to be full-time paparazzi stars.

They told FEMAIL: ‘@zoomthash*t started as a play and then at some point our followers grew more and more, it was amazing!

‘On the page we put all our personal inclinations: we love fashion, food and music and movies.

‘We manage everything ourselves: we are stylists, make-up artists, photographers and our own managers.’

The couple, who both study fashion at La Sapienza University in Rome, say their account works so well because they do everything together.

They said: ‘We do everything together in complete symbiosis, everything works because we complete each other and we share the tasks.’

As for their style, the pair describe it as ‘totally free’ and go on to explain their long-term goal is to continue ‘spreading precious energy’ with their account.

‘Our style is a street-style, comfy, oversize, not gendered, fast and cheap but cool…it’s totally free.

Say Samsara: ‘Fashion for us is the means of expression and the mantra of our profile is “BE YOURSELF”.

‘Don’t be afraid to dare or wear something you like that makes you feel good and is consistent with your personality – just because the society in which we live in does not understand!

‘We are often subjected to bad, annoying, empty and superficial judgments that hurt people… let the haters speak and go to your own street!’
