Couple found dead on Pembrokeshire coastal path in Wales

A couple have been found dead on a coastal path near a beauty spot just hours after they were reported missing. 

The unnamed man and woman were found on the Pembrokeshire coastal path in west Wales on Wednesday. 

Police say their deaths are being treated as ‘unexplained’ after the pair were reported missing at 1.15pm yesterday. 

They were found dead later that afternoon near the holiday village of New Quay, west Wales.

Police, coastguards and the RNLI were involved in the search before the bodies were found.

Officers are investigating the double death tragedy in the family seaside village in Cardigan Bay. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. 

A spokeswoman said: ‘Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the sudden deaths of two people, whose bodies were found on the coastal path near New Quay on the evening of Wednesday, April 4.

‘The man and woman had been reported missing earlier in the day.

‘Next of kin have been informed, and our thoughts are with the families at this time.

‘The deaths are being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.’
