From two crystal-embellished gowns to a £40,000 hotel dinner, this over-the-top bride and groom spared no expense in making sure their wedding was one to remember.
Rudy and Gloria, two architects from Singapore, showcase what went into executing their big day in the upcoming episode of Channel 5’s Crazy Rich Asian Wedding this Sunday.
The pair host their wedding at five-star hotel The Fullerton, one of the most exclusive addresses in Singapore, inviting 400 guests to share in the celebrations.
Bride-to-be Gloria left nothing to chance and decided to wear two gowns on her big day: one for the ceremony an another for the evening, designed to go with pink ruby of her engagement ring, which is estimated to cost £100,000.

From her own admission Gloria has a thing for bling, which is evident in the two gowns she selects for the day.
The white gown she wears during the ceremony is studded with 2,000 Swarovski crystals.
But the show-stopper is a magenta sequined dress she reserves for the later part of the evening, which is made to match her engagement ring, estimated by an expert from MailOnline at £100,000.
‘Without looking at the ring under a jewellers loupe it is impossible to give an exact price, but by going purely on the picture, the stone and ring is estimated at £100,000,’ assessed Gary Ingram of TheDiamondStore.co.uk.

The couple have been dating for four years at the time of their wedding but known each other for 16 years in total
‘It’s blinding, it’s very nice,’ comments her husband to-be, jokingly protecting his eyes from the sparkly gown in the preview.
To make sure to get the dress right, Gloria tried on more than 50 dresses ahead of the big day, with patient Rudy being present at all appointments.

They plan to entertain 400 guests from 13 countries at the hotel, where tables go at £1,000 each, under a ceiling studded with 400,000 crystals.
The venture is set to cost them £40,000 for the dinner alone, and excluding alcohol.
‘We want the food to be good and delicious for our family because it’s not cheap,’ Gloria explains.
‘The table is about £1,100 each and that excludes alcohol. We have about 40 tables.’

The menu for the night consists of scallops in a potato nest as a started, a main dish of noodles that we tossed in the air by the guests for good luck.
It will also include a luxurious sea-bass dish and dumplings for each table.
The couple also will provide with several expensive champagne from iconic label Veuve Cliquot, which can cost hundreds of pounds each.

Nothing is left to chance, with the pair both working on their fitness, Rudy with a personal trainer and strict diet, and Gloria with 45 minutes appointments of ‘The Vanquish,’ a painless but pricey treatment that removes fat.
In London, the Vanquish can amount to £600 for 45 minutes, or £3,000 for six sessions.
While the couples are busying over the last details of their dinner receptions, outfit and joined party with friends on a yacht, their wedding planner is giving himself headaches trying to work out the logistics of their big day.

Eileen says: ‘Everything is timed to the minute – and it’s causing me to have some sleepless nights.’
Rudy spent eight months designing an eight carat ruby engagement ring for his bride-to-be so that she would have one that’s unique to her and not available anywhere else.
‘Money definitely buys us freedom and time to pursue impossible things, he says.
The two architects are proud to provide building all over the world, especially in Africa, where they have built schools in Congo, and universities in Mozambique.
