Bad Santa! Courier delivers parcel to doorstep before photographing it – and then stealing it

This is the shocking moment a courier photographs a parcel to confirm it has arrived before stealing it and walking away.
The footage, which was captured in Davenport, Florida, shows the delivery man walk up to the front a home in the Watersong neighbourhood and take a picture of the delivered parcel outside the residence.
The unidentified man, who works for a third-party service, then picks up the package and nonchalantly walks away from the property.

During the clip, which was uploaded to Facebook by Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the mystery courier walks through the driveway and arrives at the front door of the property.
Without ringing the doorbell, he places the package on the doorstep and takes a picture of the parcel with his mobile phone.
He then picks the parcel up and walks away from the home while staring at the screen of his phone.
Following the incident a message shared on Polk County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page read: ‘Well here’s an interesting mystery that our detectives are trying to figure out.
‘On Thursday, December 19th, a package was delivered to a residence in the Watersong neighborhood in Davenport.
After taking a picture of the package, the delivery man picks the parcel up and walks away from the property

‘As these things normally go, the package is delivered and photographed, so that the photo can be sent to the recipient to show that delivery had been made.
‘Here’s the twist, after the photograph was taken, the delivery man took the package with him. That’s not how deliveries are supposed to work.
‘Our detective needs to identify this delivery man quick. As you can imagine, a lot of Christmas gifts are being delivered and this is likely not going to be the only gift that doesn’t make it under someone’s tree.
‘Making things more difficult is that the delivery person works for a third-party service, so tracking him down isn’t an easy thing to do the weekend before Christmas when a lot of businesses are closed.’
