Victoria has recorded no new local Covid-19 cases while Melbourne residents have enjoyed their first weekend of travel freedom as more restrictions are eased.

The Department of Health announced on Sunday only two new cases were recorded in hotel quarantine.

The results came after 19,502 tests were conducted and 12,242 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours. 

Victoria has recorded no new local Covid-19 cases while Melbourne residents have enjoyed their first weekend of travel freedom as more restrictions are eased 

Melbourne residents have also enjoyed their first weekend of travel freedom following the easing of more restrictions. 

Both the 25 kilometre radius rule and the ban on regional travel was eased on Friday.  

Melbourne residents can also host two adult visitors in their homes per day and gather outdoors in groups of 20.

Masks are no longer required outdoors either, while businesses such as gyms and indoor entertainment have reopened.
