A family from Iowa were caught off guard when they discovered a cow chewing on their mail in Afton on Monday.
Erin Hudson was filmed by his daughter trying to scare away the cow chowing down on their mail outside their home.
In the video Hudson can be seen running towards the cow, seemingly to try and frighten it away.
In the background a woman can be heard yelling ‘drop the envelopes!’ while the daughter recording can’t contain her laughter.
The woman said ‘that is the weirdest f***ing thing I have ever seen,’ as they continue to be astounded at what they are witnessing.
Once the man approaches the cow it starts to bolt and eventually runs away with the mail in his mouth.

The woman can be heard shouting ‘he’s running with it! What the hell, I hope it’s nothing important.’
Hudson told Storyful, ‘There are yearling heifers in a lot by our house. Them getting out is almost a daily thing because they are young and just pulled from their mothers.’
‘But this is something I’ve never seen them do. After we got them away from it they didn’t get put back in their pen right away so they went back to it at some point and knocked the whole mail box over and into the ditch.
‘It was obviously very interesting to them,’ he concluded.
