The duration of WB-JEE is 150 minutes and is conducted once a year (in the month of May) in the offline mode.

The application fee for WB-JEE is Rs.500+Bank Charges as applicable.

The eligibility criteria for WB-JEE is as follows –

• The students aspiring for engineering courses other than Marine engineering must be 17 years of age or older. There is no upper limit of age
• The students aspiring for the Marine Engineering course must be 17 years of age but less than 25 years of age
• The candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination, and secured pass mark in Mathematics and Physics. They must also have secured pass mark in any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology
• The candidates must have secured 45% in aggregate in the three subjects mentioned above
• The candidates must have passed in English subject with a minimum of 30% marks
• Certain Universities that accept WB-JEE have their own eligibility criteria that comprise of a higher pass percentage mark than the ones mentioned above

There are 2 papers in this examination for engineering courses –

• Paper I is a Mathematics paper
• Paper II comprises of Physics and Chemistry

Counseling for admission to engineering colleges in Kolkata is expected to commence in the month of July.

This examination seeks to empower minority category students under the orders of the West Bengal Government by admitting successful students in public engineering colleges in Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria for CEE-AMPAI are –

• The students must be citizens of India
• The Sikh minority students are given preference over other students for admission
• The students must have passed their 10+2 examinations in three subjects comprising of Physics, Mathematics, and either one of Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Biotechnology depending on the opted subject
• The students must have obtained a 45% aggregate in the three subject combinations given above
• The students must also have passed in English in the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 30%
