A gunman opened fire at a home in Melbourne’s north in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The alleged drive-by shooting took place in the suburb of Craigieburn, about 25kilometres from the CBD.
Police have confirmed a couple in their 50s were inside the home at the time. They were not injured.
Around 15 bullet holes could be seen on the front windows of the two-storey home.
Emergency services were called to the house after the occupants were woken by the sound of multiple gunshots at about 12.10am.

‘It is believed a number of shots were fired towards the home causing extensive damage to the front of the residence,’ a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
Thursday’s shooting follows a similar shooting in Melbourne’s south-east on Wednesday where a teenager was injured.
Emergency services were called to a Janmara Court home in Endeavour Hills at around 1.20am.
Shots were fired from the road or footpath into a bedroom window of a home, injuring the 17-year-old while he was asleep.
He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition with suspected non-life-threatening injuries.
Other family members inside the home at the time escaped uninjured.
