A crane carrying a fibreglass pool has collapsed onto power lines leaving the driver trapped inside.

Emergency crews were called to Clemton park in Sydney’s south-west on Monday morning after reports the crane had toppled over.

The crane was carrying transporting a fibreglass pool onto a property on Julie Avenue just after 9am.

According to 9News, the crane fell onto high-voltage power lines causing the driver to be trapped inside.

The crane operator only has minor injuries but emergency services are working to get him out.

Fire and ambulance crews are working together to rescue the driver.

According to Fire and Rescue NSW, an exclusion zone is in place and energy crews are working to isolate the power.

Ausgrid has reported that 75 homes and business in the surrounding area are currently without power.
