Crazy moment man slaps BEAR to protect his girlfriend and dogs

Harrowing video caught the moment a man bravely fended off a bear while walking his dogs with his girlfriend.

The clip shows the man slap the beast, which looks to be a North American brown bear – better known on his property as he is giving his two dogs a walk.

Accompanying him is his girlfriend, who is seen behind the man, dumbfounded, as the bear attacks in the heart-pounding footage.

When the bear suddenly bursts into frame, the unidentified man is eggs on the invading beast, in an effort to deter it from advancing on his family.

After a few feints, the man, leash in-hand, throws a leaping right hook at the advancing animal, stopping it in it tracks as the hit appears the land.

The glancing blow seemed to stun the bear – along with the man’s stupefied partner, who is seen standing in awe of the man’s heroics as the bear cowers and runs away.

The clip begins with the man walking his dogs in what appears to be his barn, when he suddenly spots the bear, who is not yet in the camera’s frame

The man did not appear to suffer any injuries during the terrifying encounter – which was posted to TikTok by user Anthonymooren174 on Wednesday.

And thanks to his indominable fighting spirit, his dogs and girlfriend were not hurt.

It was not immediately clear from the 47-second clip if the fleeing bear had ever been caught, nor was it discernible where the frightening encounter took place.

DailyMail.com reached out to the poster Monday evening prior to the publishing of this article in hopes of gleaning more information on the incident.

The clip, meanwhile, has drawn the eyes of millions captivated by the man’s brave stand, which surely saved not only himself, but his furry companions and beloved.

Since its posting five days ago, the video has amassed an inspiring 3.1million views.

The incident, meanwhile, which looked to occur in the man’s barn, bears reminder that proper fencing and protective measures are necessary for protecting property in known bear country.

Experts also advise that citizens in bear-populated areas also always keep some bear spray handy, in case of a sudden attack like the one seen in the horrifying – but oddly gratifying – clip.

Bears invading landowners properties is no odd occurrence in certain states – with brown bears in particular only native to Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming – as well as Alaska, off the US mainland.

Brown bears, also known as grizzly bears, are considered to be the most dangerous species of bear in the continental united states – only bested by the deadly polar bear that roams the tundra of the arctic.

Less dangerous is the markedly smaller black bear, which possesses shorter claws and is more omnivorous than its often more irritable cousin.

Black bears are also a bit more common, found in the aforementioned states, as well as others like Florida.

Earlier this year, the internet went into an uproar after a similar incident in the Sunshine State, where a man was attacked by a black bear on his back porch as he rushed to defend his dog.

The man, Walter Hickox, was bitten and scratched as he fought off the deadly predator at his home in Daytona Beach in Florida on Wednesday night.

Security footage installed on Hickox’s front porched showed the man gallantly leaping forward to push the black bear off his property as it charged in after his 12-year-old Dachshund Pepper at around 7.30pm.

Thankfully, he came out of the attack bearly unscathed – escaping the encounter with only some cuts and bruises. Pepper, thanks to his dad’s heroics, also was OK.

While it is common for both brown and black bears to invade outdoor properties, attacks are inherently rare.

On average, there are only about 40 brown bear attacks that happen across the world every year.
