A couple have given their tired end-of-terrace home a new lease of life in a stunning £200,000 makeover.
Children’s intensive care nurse Reese and his partner Paul bought the three-bedroom property in south east London for £400,000 in 2016 and have spent the last five years transforming it into their dream maximalist pad complete with dark colour schemes, plush furnishings and bold wallpaper.
They have also added a large, modern extension at the back of the property to house the kitchen-dining room, which opens out onto a newly landscaped garden fitted with two separate seating areas.
The couple, who live with their miniature dachshund Izziem, shared their makeover journey on Instagram, racking up more than 100,000 followers in the process.

The couple began by turning the third boxroom upstairs into a spacious bathroom complete with clawfoot bath, monochrome pinstripe wallpaper and clashing tiles – injecting glamour with a chandelier.

They then swapped the old laminate flooring and drab curtains and furniture in the sitting room for Ted Todd flooring which they snapped up in the sale at £900 instead of £4,000 and added a plush rug, statement light and a rich teal velvet sofa, curtains and wallpaper.
In line with Reece’s maximalist taste, he clashed textures with a sheepskin rug, gold framed mirror, statues and a refurbished mantlepiece.
The bedroom, dubbed the ‘cloud room’, features sky-inspired wallpaper and a quieter nude theme – with the most ‘expensive piece’ a £4,000 Heal’s bed he found on eBay for £350.
The spare room boasts a dark theme complete with black wallpaper and statement wall art.
The black theme is continued in the painted stairs and hallway, full with monochrome chic paintings and quirky tiles.
Meanwhile the facade of the house is almost unrecognisable, transformed with white paint, shutters, a black door and a new wall and doorsteps.
Similarly the back of the house is painted black with the delapidated outhouse replaced with huge French doors and a glorious kitchen.
The formerly neglected back garden now boasts two sleek outdoor seating areas with a paved pathway leading to a grass area, tranformed by Reece and costing around £8,000.

Meanwhile the bright and airy kitchen boasts a classic cooker and marble worktop complete with gold tap, leading onto a bar and lounge area.
Speaking in his blog, Reece said: ‘I started my Instagram home renovation account @littleedwarian_73 at the start of 2017, which I never though I would get anywhere near 500 followers let alone almost 10,000.
‘I’m actually not an interior designer, or anything remotely related to design. I am a children’s intensive care nurse and transport nurse, I have done this for my professional career for the past 7 1/2 years. I really enjoy my job but I am a creative at heart.’
Revealing what inspired him, he added: ‘I have always had a passion for interior design since I was little. My mother is a curtain designer, I watched her as I grew up make curtains for her customers.’
