Cameron’s fellow cricketers were quick to offer congratulations to the happy couple, who have been together for five years.

‘This has made my year!! Congrats you two, absolutely incredible news!!’ commented Baxter Holt.

‘Congrats you two,’ chimed in Aaron Hardie while Cooper Connolly added, ‘Love this, Congrats’.

It’s good news for Cameron who had a difficult 2024.

In October the superstar all-rounder revealed he requires back surgery to address a ‘unique defect’ in his back and will be sidelined for up to six months.

Green was sent home from Australia’s white-ball tour of England with a back issue and after significant consultation it was agreed he would have surgery.

The operation, which was set to be performed in New Zealand, involves using screws and titanium wire to bind vertebrae together, similar to procedure which former Australian fast bowler James Pattinson underwent with great success.

With the surgery to stabilise the defect and reduce the risk of future recurrence, Green faces an expected six-month recovery timeline.

The athlete missed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India, two Tests against Sri Lanka, the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Green produced the best innings of his 28-Test career when he blasted 174 not out against New Zealand in March last year.

Last year, Cameron opened up about his chronic kidney condition that at one point had doctors questioning whether he would live past the age of 12.

Green was diagnosed with stage two kidney disease before birth, with the condition meaning his body doesn’t filter blood as well as others do.

He did his best to keep the condition under wraps, with former Australia coach Justin Langer not aware of it, despite knowing Green since he was 15.

Cameron revealed the condition to his Test teammates after suffering a series of cramping episodes related to his kidney function.
