Prince Harry’s explosive new memoir has left many readers cringing over its intimate detail – with scenes ranging from the moment he lost his virginity to his frostbitten penis.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, released his biography Spare across the world yesterday, following it’s release in Spain last week, and the royal certainly provided ghost writer JR Moehringer with some rather florid quotes.
For instance, he recounts the first time he laid eyes on Meghan, while she was using a dog filter on Snapchat, – saying he was blown away by her ‘luminous, angelic face’.
Other eyebrow-raising passages include a ‘very saucy’ moment in Waitrose where ‘beside the fruit and veg I felt her stroll past me’.

1. ‘An older woman who liked macho horses treated me like a young stallion’
Prince Harry has recounted losing his virginity to an unnamed older woman at the age of 17 in his explosive autobiography.
The Duke explained how his anonymous first lover treated him like a ‘young stallion’ and detailed how the steamy exchange took place in a field behind a ‘very busy pub’.
In 2001, the royal was still a student at Eton College in Windsor when one of the Royal Family’s bodyguards Marko paid him a visit.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Harry says he suspected Marko had heard about the one-night stand – which he described as a ‘humiliating’ experience.
Over lunch in a cafeteria in the city centre, the bodyguard – who had a ‘sombre look’ on his face – told the Prince that he had been sent to ‘find out the truth’.
The father-of-two wrote: ‘I suspected he was referring to my recent loss of virginity, a humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion.
‘I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my ass and sent me away. One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub. No doubt someone had seen us.’

2. ‘What was the universe trying to say to me by depriving me of both my penis and my brother?’
Prince Harry confessed to suffering from a frostbitten penis, in one of his more bizarre revelations buried inside his bombshell new memoir.
In ‘Spare’, the Duke confessed that he was impacted by the early stages of the condition during William and Kate’s wedding in April 2011.
It followed his Walking with the Wounded 200-mile expedition in March 2011, which saw him embark on a trek to the North Pole alongside four ex-servicemen who were injured in Afghanistan.
The frostbite affected his cheeks, ears and genitalia, he claimed.
At Prince William’s wedding, Prince Harry details how he ‘felt totally helpless. And also like a eunuch.’
He continued: ‘What was the universe trying to say to me by depriving me of both my penis and my brother?’
He goes on: ‘My penis was oscillating between extremely sensitive and borderline traumatised. The last place I wanted to be frostnipitstan.
‘I’d been trying some home remedies, including one recommended by a friend. She’d urged me to apply Elizabeth Arden cream.
‘”My mum used to use that on her lips. You want me to put that on my todger…”‘
Harry goes on to describe his ‘todger’ as ‘softened’ by the cream.’
Harry also secretly visited a Harley Street doctor, after fearing he may have to undergo a partial penectomy – a removal of part of the penis.
But the medic told the Prince, the ‘most feasible cure was time’, he wrote.

3. ‘I got all that from her face. Her luminous, angelic face.’
In a section of the book entitled ‘She is the captain of my soul’, Prince Harry writes about the first moment he sees Meghan – on a friend’s Instagram page.
He details: ”I was sitting around Nott Cott, scrolling through Instagram…They were playing with a new app that put silly filters on your photos. Violet and the woman had dog ears, dog noses, long red dog tongues hanging out.
‘This woman with Violet…my god. I watched the video several time, then forced myself to put the phone down.

‘Then picked it up, watched the video again.
‘For thirty-two years I’d watched a conveyor-belt of faces pass by and only a handful ever made me look twice. This woman stopped the conveyor belt. This woman smashed the conveyor belt to pieces.
‘I’d never seen anyone so beautiful.’
‘There was an energy about her, a wild joy and playfulness. There was something in the way she smiled, the way she gazed into the camera. Confident. Free. She believed life was one grand adventure, I could see that. What a privilege it would be, I thought, to join her on that journey.
‘I got all that from her face. Her luminous, angelic face.’
4. ‘That’s love, I thought, though I managed to keep the words inside.’
After inviting Princess Eugenie, her then-boyfriend Jack and their friend Charlie over for dinner, Harry writes he was awoken by Meghan being violently sick into the loo.
He writes: ‘I rubbed her back and eventually put her to bed. Weak, near tears, she said she’d imagined a very different end to Date Four.
‘Stop, I said. Taking care of each other? That’s the point. That’s love, I thought, though I managed to keep the words inside.’
6. She really is magic, I thought. Even the seals know it.’
During a trip to Scotland, Prince Harry details how he and Meghan walked down to the beach, where they encountered several seals.
He writes: ‘Just as Pa instructed, I ran to the water’s edge, sang to them. Serenaded them. Arooo. No answer.
‘Meg joined me, and sang to them, and now of course they sang back. She really is magic, I thought. Even the seals know it.’

Towards the end of the biography, Harry writes how he helped a doctor deliver his daughter Lili.
He writes that the family quickly returned home nd settled into life as a family of four.
He details one intimate moment with Meghan, saying they were ‘skin to skin’ when she told him: ‘I’ve never been more in love with you than in that moment.’
He continues: ‘She jotted some thoughts in a kind of journal. Which she shared. I read them as a love poem. I read them as a testament, a renewal of our vows. I read them as a citation, a remembrance, a proclamation. I read them as a decree.’
He goes on to say Meghan calls him ‘her love’ and ‘not a spare.’

Prince Harry describes his regrets over his break-up with Chelsy Davy and admits it was difficult seeing her at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.

‘I also felt a certain way about the hungry-looking men trailing after her, circling her, nagging her to dance,’ he said, admitting he’d felt jealous and told Chesly as much.
‘Time, as the doctor predicted, would fix my todger. When would it work its magic on my heart?’ the Prince mused.
His friends were trying to help by setting him up with other women and one of them was model Florence Brudenell-Bruce.
They went out for drinks with a group of friends and then back to Clarence House for a nightcap.
After the party broke up he offered to give ‘Flea’ as she was nicknamed, a lift home to Notting Hill.
Seeimg to allude to something happening between the pair that night, he wrote: ‘She invited me up for a cup of tea. Sure, I said. I asked my bodyguard to drive around the block a few hundred times.’
9. I could take out a cactus from three miles away with a Hellfire missile but I couldn’t quite find her lips
Prince Harry describes one of his first dates with ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, who he was set up with by his cousin Princess Eugenie, after which he gave her a lift home.
‘She didn’t invite me in. I didn’t expect her to, didn’t want her to. Take it slow, I thought,’ he recalled.
However he decided that the time was right to attempt a kiss.
‘I leaned in to give her a kiss, but my aim was off. I could take out a cactus from three miles away with a Hellfire missile but I couldn’t quite find her lips.
‘She turned, I tried again on the return trip, and we managed something like a graze. Painfully awkward.’
He spoke to Eugenie the next day who had already heard Cressida’s report that the encounter was ‘awkward’ but luckily she was willing to try again.
