Crossfit athlete shows how much difference posture makes

Instagram is flooded with pictures of fitness fanatics showing off their impressive physiques while at the gym.

But one Crossfit athlete has revealed the truth behind those snaps – by sharing a comparison picture showing just how different her body can look, depending on her posture.

Jennifer Smith, from Lexington, Kentucky,  shared two photographs taken just minutes apart.

One picture shows off her washboard abs, while the other shows her slumped, and is a much less flattering snap of her stomach.

Sharing the picture, she explained: ‘Ahhh the power of lighting, body posture, and a good smile! #transformationtuesday #15minuteslater’.

Jennifer regularly shares photographs of herself training, displaying her incredible physique.  

Her side-by-side post has been liked more than 17,000 times, with fans praising her for posting the comparison pictures.

One wrote ‘Thank you so much for being real and sharing this with us…’, whie another described both pictures as ‘beautiful’.

Another follower added: ‘I LOVE this! Thank you for being human.’

Meanwhile, one person commented: ‘[A] good smile is all ya need!’
