Given that the series is still months away from being released, Shane’s post seems to apply he’s got first-hand knowledge of the show’s progress.

His casting would make sense, given his ‘ladies man’ reputation and well-documented affinity for the UK version of the reality show.

The father-of-three regularly live Tweets the raucous dating show, with his enthusiastic comments popular among his loyal following.

The raunchy UK reality series follows singles in sexy situations, as they compete for a first prize of $84,000 (£50,000). 

Airing on ITV2 in the UK and 9Life in Australia, the steamy series follows a group of singles living on a resort in Spain.

Days later, the semi-professional poker player revealed he had decided to stay in and watch the show instead of compete in a tournament.

They wrote: ‘Hearts will be pounding and pulses will be racing as Love Island gets an Australian edition exclusively for @9Go & @9NowAU in 2018.’
