Cutting edge! Ingenious gardener trims his hedge using a LAWNMOWER

  • Cassie Donaldson, 27, was going home when she spotted the strange technique
  • Unfazed by the danger the man readily exposes the blade, picking up the mower
  • He skirts around the unkempt edges of the front hedger as leaves begin to fly

A man has been spotted using a rather unusual technique to keep his hedges in check.

The bizarre method, captured in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, shows the man maneuvering his lawnmower around the bush.

He can be seen swaying it back and forth as he adeptly tries to give the top of the hedge a quick trim.

Cassie Donaldson,27 , saw what the man was trying to do as she was coming home from work and decided to film the incident.

She then later posted the video to Facebook on Friday with the caption: “Actually cutting a hedge with a lawnmower.”

The short clip shows a resident across the street from where Cassie was stood lifting the lawnmower and shifting it from side to side along the top of the hedge.

He can be seen roughly dragging the lawnmower around the corner of the hedge as well as the top it.

Over the hedge: The man barely gives his fingers a second thought as he hoists the mower up to reach the top of the hedge

She corners well too! Without any sign of strain the man manages to pull the mower sideways shearing down any ragged edges

His tactic does appear to be slightly working as shards of grass can be seen coming from the bush, but it is not known how neatly a job he managed to do.

Cassie’s video has received more than 300,000 views since being uploaded with thousands taking to the comments to show how funny they found the clip.

Commenters on the video have praised the mans ingenuity but also questioned the safety of the bizarre method.

Eoghan Grant said: “This is the next step in human evolution.”

Sam Tremain commented: “I’m trying this tomorrow.”
