A young boy and his father have used an inventive way to remove a loose tooth, by using a crossbow.
In the unnerving footage we see a father advising his young son as he prepares to shoot the crossbow within which an arrow is tied to one of his front teeth.
The video was shot in Lao Cai Province in Vietnam and shows the young boy, who’s identity is not known, with a string tied from his tooth to the end of the arrow.
We see the boys father instructing him to hold his head up as he holds the large crossbow and hesitating before bravely pulling the trigger causing the string to snap forward, plucking the tooth from his mouth.
The father and son both appear shocked and elated after the success of the tooth hack as he holds the rotten tooth which is still tied to the string out for the camera to see.
We then see the young boy gargle water before giving a gap-toothed grin.
The tooth hurts! The young boy is helped by his father as he prepares to let go of the device. The father and son appear to be surprised at how quickly the tooth came out

The boys father wrote that he thought of the unusual method after his son’s tooth had become loose after a cavity had rotted it.
He said that he wanted to shoot the arrow himself but only with his fathers advice and guidance.
