Tones got her start as a busker, attracting large crowds for her street-side performances.

Before finding fame, she slept in her van and earned money singing on the streets of Melbourne and Byron Bay.

She may now be a superstar, but only a few years ago she was selling $10 CDs from her makeshift stage.

It was during her days as a street performer in 2017 that she met talent manager Jackson Walkden-Brown who launched her pop career.

To commemorate her return, Tones shared throwback videos to Instagram from her busking days.

‘Got my Byron busking permit… again,’ she wrote in her caption alongside the clips.
