Nick Lachey was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Monday night after suffering a bout of insecurity.
The 43-year-old singer/actor was disheartened after being left at the bottom of the leaderboard and facing elimination several times.
‘I feel like a buffoon…I don’t feel like a dancer, I feel like an idiot trying to be a dancer,’ he complained to his pro partner, Peta Murgatroyd.

Nick’s final dance was a Western-themed samba for Movie Night on the show.
Despite a valiant effort he only scored 26 out of 40.
Guest judge was Canadian superstar Shania Twain, who noticed Nick’s nerves and ‘apprehension’.
‘But when you did that breakdown tonight, you nailed it,’ consoled Carrie Ann Inaba.

‘I came in not a very good dancer and I’m going to leave as not a very good dancer,’ Nick joked as he left.
‘Now I get to play dad again and support my wife,’ added the former 98 Degrees frontman, whose wife Vanessa is still in the DWTS running.

His performance was one of several dances inspired by the show’s theme A Night At The Movies.
First was pro wrestler Nikki Bella, with an Argentine tango to the theme of ‘foreign films’.
‘I don’t like being vulnerable,’ confessed the fighter during rehearsals.

The 33-year-old Total Divas star scored 36 for the routine, with 35-year-old Artem Chigvintsev, who lost his balance a little.
‘I loved it,’ said Len, who told Nikki to embrace the ‘tenderness’ in her dancing.
‘That was so romantic,’ sighed Shania, 52.

Next was 39-year-old Property Brothers star Drew Scott, with 28-year-old Emma Slater.
The karate-lover fulfilled his ‘lifelong dream of becoming an ‘action movie star’ with a paso doble.
The Canadian real estate expert scored 30 – which included three sevens and a nine from Shania.

‘I love those Canadians,’ joked Drew.
‘I thought all the drama was captured!’ said Shania who enjoyed the ‘power struggle’ conveyed in the dance.
‘Like Mission Impossible meets The Matrix with the body count of Kill Bill 1,2 and 3,’ joked Bruno, who noted Drew’s timing was a bit off.

‘That was an awkward looking routine,’ huffed Len, to boos from the audience.
Paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen did an ice hockey-themed paso doble to We Will Rock You.
Her pro Val Chmerkovskiy encouraged her to be ‘aggressive’ and ‘cocky’ for the routine.

‘Very creative and a lot of fun,’ remarked Shania.
‘I could see a proper paso doble,’ praised Bruno Tonioli.

NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens did a tribute to 007 with his spy movie jive.
‘It’s on! I’m the black James Bond,’ said the 43-year-old.
The former Philadelphia Eagles star took 37 points with 33-year-old pro partner Cheryl Burke.

‘It wasn’t quite 00-heaven…but it was your best dance so far,’ said Len, 73.
‘Such a slick, sexy, cool persona, a very charismatic swagger,’ raved Bruno, 61.
‘It was hot,’ panted Carrie Ann, 49.

Malcolm In The Middle actor Frankie Muniz did a jazz routine based on animated movies.
Frankie scored 31, with his 23-year-old pro Witney Carson.

‘Frankie you were just so liberated in that,’ Shania told the 31-year-old actor.
‘I felt like I was watching Frodo on acid and pixies on magic mushrooms,’ giggled Bruno.
‘There were a lot of mishaps,’ remarked Carrie Ann.

Former beauty queen Vanessa Lachey celebrated musicals with a ‘quickstep on steroids’.
The 36-year-old Wipeout host scored 36 points with Maks Chmerkovskiy – despite a slight wardrobe malfunction, when she lost her skirt.
‘Something happened and you just let yourself go,’ said Carrie Ann, while Len encouraged her to watch her ‘posture’.
