Dangerous driver caught on camera intentionally driving in path of teenage boy

  • Cyclist Leon Lowe, 15, is almost knocked off in New Brighton in the shocking clip
  • Footage was posted onto the Facebook page ‘Wirral Parking Idiots’ by an admin
  • Admin, who did not want to be named, was forced muted the sound on the video due to the driver’s foul language

This is the shocking moment a car intentionally veers towards a teenage cyclist on a busy motorway in New Brighton.

Shocking video footage taken by a driver’s dashcam shows the black BMW swerve as cyclist Leon Lowe heads in the opposite direction in the seaside town in Wallasley, the Wirral.

The 15-year-old had been cycling to his friend’s house. Lowe can be seen swerving out of the way as the BMW continues up the road.

The driver of the car is then said to have launched a tirade of abuse at the wife of the driver who captured the footage – calling her a ‘fat cow’ and threatening to knock her out as she took pictures of him.

The footage was posted onto the Facebook page ‘Wirral Parking Idiots’.

The administrator, who caught the footage and ask not to be named, said: ‘I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

‘I saw the lad on his bike on the wrong side of the road and thought he was the dangerous one but he did make a move to get back on his side as the car went for him.

‘The driver threatened my wife as well shortly after when she took photos of him, lovely individual! He said he’d knock her out if she kept taking them and kept calling her a fat cow!’

The Facebook page admin added that he had had to mute the sound on the video due to foul language.

He said: ‘I thought maybe the driver knew the lad on the bike but even still that’s just crazy. If it had been seconds earlier the lad would’ve been ran over by the cars on the opposite side.

‘Admittedly, the lad on the bike is clearly on the wrong side of the road but what the driver did was downright dangerous and he needs taking off the road!’

The Facebook admin has reported the incident.
