‘This cheeky little yellow faced whip snake had made his way into a childcare centre and was found in close proximity to the resting kids,’ the caption to the post read.

‘Well coordinated action by the staff and a quick phone call to us had him captured and removed within half an hour.’

Others commented on the post praising the quick thinking of staff and the good outcome.

‘He just wanted a nap too, look at that little face,’ said one commenter.

The type of snake, while not aggressive, is venomous and a bite can result in extreme pain in the affected limb.

They can grow up to 1.2 metres and are found throughout most of the country.
