‘I couldn’t have asked for a better mini me’: EastEnders’ Danielle Harold pays sweet tribute to on-screen daughter as she prepares for soap exit

Danielle Harold has paid a sweet tribute to her on-screen daughter as she prepares for her EastEnders exit.

Taking to Instagram, the actress, 30, who has been on EastEnders since 2011, praised Isabella Brown.

Danielle, who plays Lola Pearce, posted a snap of Isabella, who stars in the soap as her daughter Lexi, alongside Max Bowden, who plays her dad Ben Mitchell.

Lexi and Lola are currently facing Lola’s terminal brain tumour storyline which will see her eventual exit, after she was diagnosed in October.

In the snap, Max and Danielle kissed Lola on the cheek as all three posed in wedding gear.

It comes after EastEnders fans were moved by Danielle and Patsy Kensit’s performance on the BBC soap earlier this month after their characters were reunited.

Lola, played by Danielle, and Emma Harding, portrayed by Patsy, are back on talking terms after Emma had been missing from Lola’s life for years.

Emma learned a devastating secret about her parents’ marriage after she was left shocked last month when she discovered who Emma was.

Albert Square newcomer Emma, who has gone under the fake name of ‘Nicole’, has been discreetly observing her daughter’s life and slipping money through her letterbox after learning she was struggling financially.

Lola was left terrified, thinking she had a stalker, but she finally put two and two together after Emma admitted she was the one who sent her the money.

As she struggled to cope with the emotional aftermath, Emma was supported by her husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and her paternal grandfather Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) after she came close to collapsing as Emma looked on in horror.

After a doctor diagnosed Lola with anaemia and told her to rest, she became angry with Jay when he told her to put her feet up as she needed to vent over the situation with Emma.

Lola was stunned into silence when Emma showed her the scars she still has on her body today from Dan’s abuse.

Sitting her down, Billy shamefully recalled the time he used to hit his nephew Jamie Mitchell (Jack Ryder), adding that Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) also used to physically harm his family.

Billy insisted he recognised the fear he could see in Emma’s eyes, urging Lola to reconsider.

Lola was seen running outside in a bid to stop the taxi Emma was in as she attempted to leave Walford.

She told her mother she no longer blamed her for the past and begged her to stay in E20 so they could build a better relationship.
