Darwin Hells Angels bikie tackled to the ground in front of parents

A notorious Hells Angels bikie was dragged bloodied and screaming from his family home after being tackled and repeatedly tasered by four tactical police officers.

Phillip O’Shea, sergeant-at-arms of the Darwin chapter of the Hells Angels, was tasered multiple times by police in his Palmerston home in October 2017.

With cameras latched onto their vests, police stormed the property after acquiring evidence of the 44-year-old obtaining drugs, the ABC reported.

One of the officers involved in the arrest said it was the most violent resistance from a criminal he had seen in his three decades in the force.

Footage shows O’Shea being tackled to the ground by four officers after being capsicum sprayed.

He is seen resisting arrest as an officer shouts repeatedly, ‘put your hands behind your back…stop resisting’.

It takes close to two minutes for police to handcuff O’Shea, before leading him outside past his confused parents sitting outside.

NT Police Sergeant Scott Rose said he had never witnessed such violence in his 30 years of policing, the publication reported.

O’Shea appeared in Darwin Local Court on Monday and was found guilty of possessing a trafficable quantity of drugs, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

O’Shea’s lawyer slammed the police’s handling of his client, claiming officer’s use of force during the arrest was excessive.

However, senior crown prosecutor David Morters, rejected the claim, stating police acted within reason.

O’Shea will be sentenced on July 31.
