Dash Zhukova hosts NYFW party after report ex-husband Roman Abramovich is building her a megamansion

Roman Abramovich’s ex-wife Dasha Zhukova was positively glowing as she hosted a New York Fashion Week party on Monday – and it’s not easy to guess why.

The 37-year-old founder of Garage Magazine celebrated the launch of the publication’s latest cover – which features popstar Rihanna – at an Upper East Side townhouse, hours after reports surfaced that her ex-husband, billionaire Roman Abramovich is building her a ‘megamansion’ less than a mil away from the party venue.

Although neither Dasha or Roman, 51, have confirmed the reports, the former certainly looked like she had plenty to celebrate as she opened the doors to the glittering event, which she hosted alongside Garage Editor-in-Chief Mark Guiducci.

The magazine founder and mother-of-two happily beamed for the cameras as she posed for pictures at the party, which was also attended by the likes of model Karen Elson, actress Tavi Gevinson and photographer Petra Collins.

Garage’s event took place at the legendary Halston House, which is just a few blocks away from the site of Roman’s latest renovation project, which will see him combine three homes on one street into an enormous ‘mega-residence’.

And while news about his plans had already been released, it was reported by Page Six on Monday afternoon that the extravagant property is not for Roman himself, but rather his ex-wife and mother of two of his children, Dasha.

The publication states that records show the property actually belongs to the magazine founder, and sources say she plans to reside their after the renovation work is completed.

It is not known however whether Dasha plans to move in with her current beau Stavros Niarchos.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Dasha’s team for comment.

The magazine founder’s relationship was first made public back in August 2017, shortly after Dasha’s split from Roman was confirmed in a statement.

Since then, Dasha and Stavros have been pictured at seen at several events together, including the US Open and her 37th birthday party, which took place in June.

Dasha and Roman appear to have remained on good terms, however.

In June, the duo reunited in Moscow to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Garage Contemporary Art Center, the museum that the duo founded together back in 2008.

The pair smiled happily while posing alongside each other at the event, which was the first time they had been pictured together since September 2017, when they were seen walking through New York City in photos obtained by DailyMail.com.

But while they may not have made many public outings together, they may well have lots to talk about in the coming months, if Dasha is indeed getting set to move into Roman’s newest New York property.

Either way, the magazine founder looked to be in very good spirits as she celebrated the latest issue of Garage on Monday night, smiling happily as she posed with her guests and her Editor-in-Chief co-host Mark – who actually offered a sneak peek inside the party in a video diary he filmed for E! Entertainment’s Instagram Story.

The 30-year-old took part in the third season of the network’s New York Fashion Week documentary series Front Five, which documents ‘a day in the life’ of different power players within the industry, from models like Devon Windsor to photographers and designers.

In Mark’s episode, which aired on the E! Entertainment Instagram Story on Monday, he took people behind the scenes at a magazine meeting, before heading off to catch a couple of fashion shows – bumping into a host of stars, including Kate Bosworth, along the way.

From there, it was time to head to Halston House for the Garage Magazine party, with Mark explaining that, because the publication is bi-annual and therefore only released twice a year, it tends to mark each issue with some kind of celebration.

And there was certainly plenty to celebrate this time around, with party guests happily toasting Rihanna’s appearance as its 15th cover star.

The 30-year-old chart-topper was unveiled as the face of the latest issue last week, when stunning images from her photo shoot were shared with the public for the first time, showing the performer posing in a series of sultry shots.

Rihanna smoldered in several vintage ensembles including an off-the-shoulder, rose bolero paired with lacy Dolce & Gabbana briefs; Carlos Nazario, the shoot’s stylist, said he had aimed to dress Rihanna in ‘unexpected’ pieces.

‘I think her comfort zone is to push it, right? I don’t think she feels comfortable when she feels like she’s worn it before,’ Nazario told the publication.

‘I think when she gets excited, and when she often feels the most beautiful and the most powerful, is when she’s wearing something that kinda feels unexpected.’

Carlos worked with Rellik and One Of A Kind in London to pick out vintage looks that created a ‘Caribbean queen’ vibe.

‘I felt like it wasn’t that exciting for her to only wear things that I’m sure she’s familiar with,’ he explained. ‘I always like to incorporate vintage pieces, because it’s a whole world of clothing that people haven’t seen.’

Every look, none more beautiful than the rest, centered around Rihanna’s lengthy gold nails by Jenny Longworth.

Jenny has been the Fenty Beauty mogul’s manicurist for more than five years.

Rihanna’s second and most vibrant look featured a yellow ball skirt from the 60s and a blue, metallic blouse by Gucci.

The Work singer also posed in a feathery, pink Alexander McQueen gown and a Valentino jumpsuit adorned with a giant, hot pink bow.

Behind the camera was photographer Deana Lawson, while set design was in the hands of David White.
