Roman Abramovich’s ex-wife Dasha Zhukova and her husband Stavros Niarchos touched down in Switzerland’s resort town St. Moritz on Monday, ahead of their star-studded wedding this weekend.

The Russian art collector, 38, and the 34-year-old billionaire – who was previously in a relationship with Paris Hilton – appeared cheery as they kicked off preparations for their nuptials, after tying the knot in a French registry office ceremony in October.

Their belated celebration is estimated to be costing a whopping £5 million and will see the likes of former footballer David Beckham and actress Gwyneth Paltrow in attendance.

The brunette beauty cut an effortlessly chic figure in a white top, cream trousers and patent boots, while wrapping up against the chilly climes in a brown teddy bear coat.

Complementing her beauty with neutral-toned make-up, the founder of Garage Magazine wore her dark tresses in loose waves.

Shipping magnate heir Stavros looked equally stylish as he teamed a black wool coat with aviator-style shades.

After stepping out of the flashy aircraft, Dasha and Stavros, who have known each other for over a decade but became a couple in 2018, headed off to their accommodation in a retro car.

Designer Diane von Furstenberg, actress Liv Tyler, model Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua Kushner – brother-in-law of President Trump’s daughter Ivanka – are also expected to witness the pair celebrate their new marriage.

The wedding ceremony will take place in the St Moritz town hall building, while the couple will take over the five-star Kulm St. Moritz Hotel, which is perched on the slopes and owned by the Niarchos family, for a glitzy party.

Rooms cost a minimum of £600 a night and the whole weekend’s festivities is estimated to be costing £5 million.

Several marquees have been erected near the resort’s ski–jump area and the sub-freezing temperatures are unlikely to put guests off from enjoying themselves.

Dasha was married to Chelsea owner Roman, 53, for nearly 10 years before ending their relationship with a multi-million pound divorce in 2017. They share son Aaron Alexander, 10, and daughter Leah Lou, six.

Stavros’ most high-profile romance to date was with socialite Paris, 38, who he dated from late 2005 until March 2007.

The businessman, who is part of the Greek shipping Niarchos dynasty, was also in relationships with actresses Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen, and model Jessica Hart.

Stavros’s father Stavros Jr and uncle Spyros are the largest private landowners in St. Moritz.

A source told MailOnline: ‘The Niarchos family are hugely respected and valued in St Moritz.

‘They could have held the wedding at any fabulous location in the world but have chosen St Moritz because it is of great importance to them to support the town and the groom’s father is an honorary citizen.

‘I expect the expenditure on this weekend to cost several million pounds and it will be a great boost for the resort too.’

Detailing the upcoming event, the insider added: ‘St Moritz affords the celebrities and guests security and privacy. What happens in St Moritz stays in St Moritz.

‘Locals do not generally bother the celebrity visitors. It is only a small town so it is virtually impossible to avoid bumping into them.

‘I expect locals will share a table with a few in the popular Salsastrains restaurants and not notice them openly. It is almost an unspoken code and one of the reasons the fabulously wealthy choose here for such celebrations.

‘St Moritz itself is the most Swiss of all the Swiss ski resorts. It caters to an old money crowd including generations of Niarchos, Guccis and royalty from all over Europe and the Middle East as well as well as the horsey set.

‘It will be a fabulous party weekend and the folk who live here wish the happy couple all the very best and welcome them.’
