Woman loses it over driver’s rude act in Sydney carpark that many Aussies are guilty of: ‘I was parking there’
- Woman honked and screamed at elderly couple for taking her car spot
- Dispute occurred in parking building at shopping complex in western Sydney
- Dashcam owner attempted to park but place was taken by older pair
- She screamed and swore at the pair as they got out of their vehicle
- Commenters called the dashcammer a ‘Karen’ and said she should’ve conceded
A woman honked and screamed at an elderly couple to ‘get back’ after they took the carpark space she was waiting for – with many who viewed the vision labelling her a ‘Karen’ and saying she over-reacted.
The dispute, which occurred in April last year and re-posted by a dashcam YouTube channel, started with a woman waiting for a departing car to leave its bay inside a busy western Sydney carpark.
After the Jeep Grand Cherokee four-wheel-drive left she began turning in – only for a white Hyndai to snatch the spot, having driven into it through an empty bay behind.
‘Go back, I was parking there,’ she shouts at the older couple. ‘Hey! Rude b*tch.’
The dashcam owner calls the female driver of the other car a ‘rude b*tch’ after taking the car spot at a complex in western Sydney
‘Can you please go back? Go back!’ the driver says, as the older couple gesture to her and move further into the space.
The woman then honks her horn at the couple, screaming: ‘I was parking there’.
The footage starts with the female driver waiting as the Jeep Grand Cherokee begins to pull out of the parking space, before following it closely behind to take the spot
The elderly couple then exit their car, with the man requiring a walking cane to climb out of the vehicle.
She swore at the female driver before conceding and moving away.
Commenters almost unanimously agreed the dashcam owner was overreacting, with some even labelling her a ‘Karen’.
‘I realise how frustrating that is when you are waiting for a carpark and someone does that but you could clearly see they were elderly and the old fella has a cane. In this instance you should have shown them a bit of consideration rather than calling her a rude b*tch,’ one person calmly responded.
‘They were very likely waiting just as long if not longer than the cammer to move forward into that park as well,’ a man replied.
‘The oldies may have been waiting for longer for that park too,’ another added.

Several YouTube users said the dashcammer was acting like a Karen, suggesting she should have given way to the older couple.
‘Sorry Karen. The old couple had no idea you were there,’ one commented.
‘White car didn’t appear in view, looks as if he drive through another space into the one he ended in without looking to see if anyone else was parking there. Happened to me many a time. Just shrugged my shoulders and found another place,’ another said.
