Dave Hughes shares the hilarious birthday card he received from his daughter

Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes’ eight-year-old daughter Tess appears to have inherited her sense of humour from her comedian father.

Dave celebrated his 51st birthday on Friday, when his youngest child gave him a hilarious birthday card that he has since shared on social media and received thousands of likes.  

‘Dear Dad. So let’s reflect on this year. Actually, let’s not, It’ll make us sad,’ Tess’ note to her father amusingly read. 

‘We all hoped 2021 would be GREAT. When those dreams were crushed everybody lost their spirits… except us, because we had your “funny” jokes,’ she continued.

The young girl perfectly ended the hilarious card by wishing her Dad a happy birthday. 

‘Have a jolly good birthday. Tess,’ she wrote.

Dave posted a screenshot of the birthday message to his Twitter with the simple caption: ‘She’s eight’. He also shared it to Instagram and it gained thousands of likes.

Hughesy’s post gained traction on social media, with his followers making some hilarious comments on the note.

‘She’s already a better writer than me,’ tweeted journalist Sam McClure.
