David Beckham appears to take high-speed motorbike selfie

He’s known for his love of motorbikes and often takes himself off on epic road trips.

But David Beckham seemed to momentarily forget the ‘no phones while driving’ rule on Friday, when he took to Instagram to document his latest foray along what appeared to be a remote American highway.

The 42-year-old father-of-four uploaded several Instagram stories to his account, showing him on a boys road trip with a companion named ‘Thor’ and a couple of other pals, all on high-speed dirt bikes.

Some of the videos, however, appeared to be snapped while he was hurtling along on the motorcycle, full-throttle.

The retired football legend seemed to hold his phone up above his head to capture himself and another man alongside him on a similar bike as they sped down the road.

Both were indeed wearing helmets, but David seemed to take his eyes off the road for a long enough time to check he was capturing the event, focusing on both him and his pal.

David was seen grinning as he turned his head to get the attention of his companion, who smiled back at the camera.

As David flipped the camera around again, various cars were seen zooming past him, making the situation all the more perilous.

In another clip, he appears to film from behind the handlebars of the vehicle, lowering the camera so as to capture his buddy slightly ahead of him, the road ahead and the entrance to a mountain tunnel

The former England captain – who is in the states with the rest of the Beckham clan which includes wife Victoria, 43, sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12 and daughter Harper, six – was clearly enjoying his time with the boys, snapping various images for Instagram to document the afternoon on the road.

Stopping at a rustic eatery, David enjoyed ‘the best clams in the world’ (so good he had to post about them twice) and an espresso, before hitting the road again with his friends.

As the group zoomed around the roads in the sunlight, David seemed to not want to stop his road trip travelogue, seemingly continuing to take snaps and videos mid-drive.
