David Beckham becomes the proud owner of a £3million West London pub after speeding scandal

After the week he’s had, David Beckham could probably do with a relaxing pint or two – and as luck would have it, he’s about to buy the perfect place.

I can reveal that the ex-football star is set to become proud owner of a London pub.

Becks, 43 – roundly condemned last week when he dodged a speeding conviction on a technicality after hiring lawyer Nick ‘Mr Loophole’ Freeman – is buying the Walmer Castle, in Notting Hill, near his family home in Holland Park.

And he has a team-mate in the venture, his good friend the film director Guy Ritchie.

They’ve paid £3 million for the pub and Beckham plans to give it a ‘Soho House’-style makeover.

A source close to Beckham told me: ‘He can’t wait to get stuck into making it just as he wants it.’

Ritchie already owns the Lukin pub in Fitzrovia and runs the Gritchie Brewing Company from his farm in Wiltshire. His beers are expected to be on tap soon at the Walmer. Cheers!

This must be what fashionistas call the ‘through a hedge backwards’ look.

US actress Emma Stone, 29, sported a remarkably random spread of red roses in her hair at the New York premiere of her latest film, The Favourite.

It was actually a deliberate creation by stylist Mara Roszak, who hoped it would help the La La Land star stand out on the red carpet. Hope the thorns were trimmed!

Is that Catwoman having a bad day? Err, no, it’s Tamara Ecclestone posing in a bizarre – and ridiculously expensive – face mask.

The F1 heiress, 34, is using Black Diamond masks by 111 Skin to try to stave off the ageing process.

They use real diamond particles and cost £140-a-pop – 15 times the price of a standard mask.

Is Tamara running out of things to spend her millions on…?
