David Cross defends co-star Jeffrey Tambor

Actor David Cross has come to the defense of his besieged Arrested Development co-star Jeffrey Tambor.

In an interview with AMNewYork, the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind actor spoke candidly about the claims that Tambor had sexually harassed co-workers behind the scenes of his Amazon TV drama Transparent.

‘I think it’s very curious that Amazon didn’t make public the results of their internal investigation [into Tambor’s alleged behavior],’ he said.

Tambor recently said he is ‘profoundly disappointed’ in the way Amazon Studios has handled an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations made against him by a co-star and former assistant that led to his removal from the upcoming season of the show Transparent.

Tambor, who has been accused of telling his former assistant ‘You will love my d**k’ and of thrusting himself ‘back and forth against’ the body of a co-star, has denied all wrongdoing.

He says in a statement released Thursday that he has never heard specifics of the allegations made against him and repeated his assertion that his departure is the result of what he calls a ‘toxic politicized atmosphere’ on the show.
