David Hasselhoff, 66, has married Hayley Roberts, 38, in an intimate ceremony in Italy.

The actor tied the knot with his fiancée of two years in the southern region of Puglia on Tuesday, his representative confirmed to People magazine.

The former Baywatch star is thought to have jetted his daughters Taylor, 28, and Hayley, 25, out to Europe for his nuptials to the Welsh beauty, who he has been dating since 2011.

MailOnline has contacted David’s representatives for further comment.

David had revealed his romantic wedding plans to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, stating‘ We’re gonna get married on the 31st, you know, in Italy.

‘My birthday is on Tuesday and then we shoot out to the UK and a few places and then we’re gonna get married, but a very small wedding with her family from Wales in Puglia, which is southern Italy.’

The actor added that the pair were looking forward to staying out the limelight during their honeymoon in the Maldives.

He said: ‘And then from there we’re gonna go to the Maldives and we’ll stay underwater for about two weeks.’

Their romance blossomed after David promised to give her a signature if she went on a date with him in return.

The couple announced their engagement in May 2016 via Hello! magazine, with Hayley gushing of the Malibu proposal: ‘We were both in tears. I genuinely had no idea he was going to do that. I’m still so overwhelmed.’

The actor added: ‘I had a saying: ‘You don’t get married because you want to live with someone, you get married because you can’t live without them.’

‘I felt that way. I knew that I was really unhappy without her. I waited to propose because I thought I was too old for her.’

David was previously married to actress Catherine Hickland – who guest-starred on his show Knight Rider – from 1984 to 1989. The TV star is now married to the late Carrie Fisher’s brother Todd Fisher.

He went on to marry Pamela Bach in 1989 and welcomed two daughters with her; Taylor, now 27, and Hayley, 25.

David and Catherine filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences in January 2006, before their union was official dissolved that August.
