David Hasselhoff, 67, relives his Knight Rider days with wife Hayley Roberts, 39, during a gala

He’s recently joined the cast of Dolly Parton’s show 9 To 5: The Musical to play the misogynistic boss Franklin Hart Jr.

And David Hasselhoff appeared to be settling into his role as he enjoyed a gala performance to celebrate his casting on Wednesday night.

During the evening the actor, 67, even relived his Knight Rider days by posing on the bonnet of the show’s famous car K.I.T.T, which was parked outside the Savoy Theatre in London.

David was in high spirits as he perched on top of the black vehicle and pointed towards the camera.

The Baywatch star looked dapper for the occasion, wearing a smart black suit and white shirt which he left unbuttoned at the top.

He completed his ensemble with a patterned grey scarf and hat and was seen posing alongside cast members including Bonnie Langford, 55, in the car.

David played crime fighter Michael Knight in TV show Knight Rider from 1982 to 1986 and was helped by a talking car called K.I.T.T – which stood for Knight Industries Three Thousand.

After the show David owned his own version of the car, which is a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, but recently told Virgin Radio’s Chris Evans that he had sold it to a Turkish man for $150,000.

He explained to the host that he misses the car and is ‘about to buy another one’, reports the Sun.

And although being an iconic car from the 1980s show, only five original vehicles remain now, reports Road and Track.

David put on a loved-up display with his wife Hayley Roberts Hasselhoff, 39, who arrived to support her husband at the gala performance.

Hayley sparkled in a glittery midi skirt which cinched at the waist and slightly puffed out.

She paired this with a midi-sleeved top and black patent boots, before toting a chic handbag over one shoulder which had an animal’s face on it.
