Parkland survivor David Hogg is asking his supporters to boycott Fox News host Laura Ingraham after she mocked his college rejections.
David Hogg, 17, recently revealed in an interview with TMZ that he was not accepted into UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, or UC Irvine.
Ingraham then took to Twitter and accused Hogg of ‘whining’ about his rejections.
‘David Hogg rejected by Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,’ she tweeted on Wednesday.

Ingraham took to Twitter on Wednesday and accused Hogg of ‘whining’ about his rejections
‘Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates),’ she added.
Hogg tweeted at Ingraham directly following the hit, writing: ‘Soooo what are your biggest advertisers…Asking for a friend. #BoycottIngramAdverts’.
He then tweeted a list of advertisers which included AT&T, Nutrish, Allstate, Esurance, Bayer, Liberty Mutual, Arby’s, TripAdvisor, Nestle, and Hulu.
Hogg instructed his nearly 600,000 followers to pick a number between 1 and 12 and contact the company next to the number.
The teen also tweeted at each of the Twitter accounts directly, linking to Ingraham’s tweet and asking ‘why do you support this?’
TMZ founder Harvey Levin came to Hogg’s defense, tweeting directly at Ingraham and asking if she had watched the video of the interview at all.

‘David was not whining. I called him about the story,’ Levin wrote. ‘He was not feeling sorry for himself in the slightest.’
‘It was my idea that colleges should consider applicants who are so committed. Did you watch the video?’
Hogg revealed on Tuesday that he had been rejected from the four California schools.
The teen also revealed he has a 4.2 GPA and scored a 1270 on his SAT, both of which are considered above average.
Hogg, who recently helped organize March For Our Lives, admitted that it was hard to focus on college decisions at the current moment.

‘It’s been kind of annoying having to deal with that and everything else that’s been going on but at this point, you know, we’re changing the world,’ he told TMZ.
Hogg said he was not surprised by the decision and did not attribute his rejection to his involvement in the movement, suggesting instead that he had been overlooked in a vast number of applications.
‘I am not surprised at all honestly,’ he said.
‘I think there’s a lot of amazing people that don’t get to college not only that do things like I do, but because their voices just aren’t heard in the tsunami of people that apply every year for college in such an economic impacted school system which we have here in America where people have to go into massive amounts of debt just to go to college and get an education.’

‘I think it’s really sad but it’s the truth.’
A number of people hit back at Ingraham on Twitter, asking how she could pick on a child who had just watched 17 of his classmates die in a mass shooting.
‘Attacking a traumatized kid for a 4.1 GPA. Good on you #GOP. Keeping it classy always. Party of family values and all that,’ wrote user Wenders K.
‘Are you really picking on a teenager who just watched his classmates die in pools of their blood less than two months ago?’ asked Brooke Binkowski.
One user pointed out that Ingraham had gotten Hogg’s GPA wrong.
‘She obviously didn’t read it, just wanted to bully a teenager,’ they added.
‘Reveling in the misfortune of a child is embarrassing, even for your Laura,’ tweeted author Molly Knight.
‘Imagine being an adult who hates teenagers so much you pants him online for getting rejected by colleges,’ tweeted Andrew Kirell.
Hogg said he has yet to decide which university he will attend, adding that it was not a priority given his ongoing activism.

Emma Gonzalez will attend the New College of Florida, a liberal arts college, Hogg revealed
‘Right now, I have no clue. I haven’t even thought about it, honestly. It is absolutely disappointing but at this point we’re already changing the world,’ he said.
‘If colleges want to support us in that, great, if they don’t it doesn’t matter, we’re still going to change the world.’
A million people around America turned out for coordinated protests against gun violence on March 24.
The largest was held in Washington DC where Hogg gave an impassioned and, some said presidential, speech on the issue of gun reform in front of 800,000 people.
Since February 15, he has been at the forefront of advocacy for tighter gun laws.
Emma Gonzalez, his classmate who stood silent on the enormous stage at Saturday’s protest for as long as gunman Nikolas Cruz sprayed her school with bullets, will attend the New College of Florida, a liberal arts school, he said.
