Deborah Hutton been a household name in Australia for over 40 years, having worked in some of the world’s most competitive industries – namely modelling and TV.

And while others around her might be starting to turn to facelifts and fillers to keep them looking eternally youthful, the 56-year-old is having none of it.

Speaking to Stellar, Deborah explained she thinks ‘there is a beauty in maturing, watching all the lines develop’.

The Australian media icon added that while she is happy to do ‘little bits and pieces’ like ‘Botox for a bit of correction’, she will never turn to more drastic measures:

‘To turn your face into something that it’s not, is not me,’ she explained. ‘And I think it happens to a lot of people, and they lose sight of the person within.’

In her interview, Deborah also touched on the fact that she is happier in her skin than she has ever been:

‘In my 40s, I felt much more beautiful than I did when I was younger,’ she said, saying she liked the woman she found she was ‘growing into’.

Deborah added that she believes age is beautiful and not something we should fear.

Of course, Deborah’s life has not been without its difficulties.

After she was diagnosed with skin cancer at age 50, she has become extremely conscious about keeping her health in check – and is now a well-known spokesperson within the industry for skin checks.

The 56-year-old keeps fit by working out with skipping ropes and fitness balls, and she often goes for swims at Sydney’s beaches.

Deborah has in the past spoken about the fact that she will walk her dog, Billie, a couple of times a day, goes to the gym twice a week and swears by drinking’lots of water’.

These days, her age-defying physique is a testament to hard work and a love of health and fitness.
