Declan Donnelly films Saturday Night Takeaway alone in Orlando

He jetted to Florida on Monday ahead of the Saturday Night Takeaway finale.

And Declan Donnelly looked relaxed in front of the camera on Wednesday as he was seen filming scenes in Universal Orlando for the final show of the series.

The 42-year-old made a low-key appearance in the theme park just a day after arriving in the States, while roving reporter Scarlett Moffatt took over the show’s social media to share her adventures around the park.

Back to business: Declan Donnelly, 42, was spotted out and about in Universal Orlando on Wednesday as he filmed scenes for the Saturday Night Takeaway finale this weekend

Dec was spotted out and about in Orlando, pre-recording for what is expected to be a lavish spectacle.

The presenter wore a simple white shirt and taupe trousers combo to tackle the warm Florida weather, with cameras nearby to record scenes for the ITV mainstay.

The final episode is set to be another huge showcase, featuring appearances by Denise Richards, Craig David and The Rembrandts, as well as series regulars Stephen Mulhern and reality star Scarlett.

This will be the second time Dec will host the show alone – taking the reigns after Ant was arrested for drink-driving last month.

The duo’s presenting commitments were thrown into doubt following Ant’s decision to step away from his shows and enter rehab after his arrest, but Dec later released a statement saying he would finish Takeaway’s current series solo.

And while Dec was seen preparing for the star-studded finale, roving presenter Scarlett took to social media to share her adventures in and around the park with fans.

Live-streaming her trips through the various areas, Scarlett played ‘Takeaway Bingo’ with watchers of the stream who set her various challenges.

Dec’s outing comes amid reports that he will return to present the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent later this spring, after impressing bosses with his solo presenting efforts.

According to The Sun, while the pre-recorded audition stages featuring Ant will air as planned, Dec will take on hosting duties alone when the show reaches the live semi-final stages.

‘The bosses at ITV loved him,’ a source told the publication. ‘And want him back on screens as soon as possible. Simon Cowell totally agrees that he’s the best man for the job rather than bringing in a new face.’

Lauded: Fans praised Dec after he took to the stage on Saturday to host Takeaway for the first time without Ant following his drink-drive arrest and subsequent admission to rehab

The source added: ‘It was obviously strange for viewers seeing him alone at first, but he took everything in his stride like a total pro.

‘That’s not to say people didn’t miss Ant, but the overwhelming response was that Dec was fantastic solo too.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for further comment.
