Dec and Ali tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in his Newcastle hometown back in 2015 – just one year after the pair struck up a romance and moved in together.

The pair had been in one another’s lives for 13 years, as Ali the Australian beauty was hired as the iconic duo’s manager back in 2005.

It now seems that Dec will be incredibly busy in the upcoming months as he enjoys fatherhood, as well as taking on his eagerly-anticipated hosting duties for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in November.

However, Dec will be hosting the show without his famous co-host Ant McPartlin, who will continue to take a break from all television presenting roles until 2019.

Taking over the role for this year’s edition as a host for the jungle series is Holly Willoughby, who confirmed her position earlier this week.

In addition, Ant and Dec have made the joint decision not to present a new series of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in Spring 2019.

The Text Santa star said in a statement to MailOnline: ‘My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.’

He continued: ‘I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.’

The troubled presenter first sought rehab treatment in June 2017 after becoming addicted to prescription drugs and alcohol following a botched knee surgery in 2015.

He entered rehab for a second time in March after he was involved in a three-car collision in Richmond and was discovered to be over the limit behind the wheel.

Ant pleaded guilty to drink-driving in April and he received a record-breaking £86,000 fine, as well as a 20-month ban from driving.

Meanwhile, Phillip Schofield has lead the congratulatory messages by tweeting that he ‘can’t wait to meet’ the new arrival, within minutes of the announcement.

The presenter said that the birth of Isla was the ‘best’ news, as he congratulated new parents Dec and Ali.

Ruth Langford was also quick to offer her kind words, as she tweeted: ‘Congratulations Dec & Ali… wonderful news. I expect little Isla will be wrapping you around her little finger from now on..!’

Along with Phillip and Ruth a host of Dec’s fans sent on their well wishes as they replied to the tweet with messages of congratulations.

It is believed that Ali fell pregnant following the latest series of I’m A Celebrity in December 2017.

A source told The Sun: ‘They have been keeping the pregnancy a closely guarded secret, but now that Ali is safely over 12 weeks, they are starting to let people know.’

On Friday Ali was spotted leaving her home with Dec, displaying a large baby bump ahead of the birth of her child on Saturday.

Her bump was debuted on the red carpet at the British Academy Television Awards with husband Dec earlier this year, where she wore a stunning sequined gown.

It was previously reported that Ali wanted to keep her pregnancy under wraps until she was safety past the 12 week point.

Once past that period the couple broke the news to their close friends and family including Ant McPartlin.

Ant is believed to be ‘over the moon’, while his estranged wife also liked Dec’s tweet about the pregnancy announcement.
