Kyle Sandilands returned to KIIS FM on Monday after a worrying string of absences, revealing to listeners he had been suffering from migraines as a result of sleep apnoea.
And after that morning’s broadcast, the 47-year-old radio personality was spotted at one of his favourite Sydney haunts, Kings Cross, with two of his colourful friends.
Kyle – who was joined by ‘King of the Cross’ John Ibrahim and convicted drug trafficker Simon Main – was seen smoking a cigarette despite his recent health woes.
Feeling better? After returning to work at KIIS FM on Monday following a string of sickness-related absences, Kyle Sandilands went out to lunch with friends in Sydney’s Kings Cross
The shock jock dressed casually in black trousers and a zip-up hoodie, and appeared to be in relaxed spirits as he went for lunch with his pals.
Meanwhile, nightclub identity John, 48, showed off his muscular physique in a grey top and Simon kept things casual in shorts, Nike sneakers and a blue T-shirt.
It could well be a stressful time for Simon, 47, who is the stepson of entertainer Barry Crocker, as he has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He is alleged to have punched a man driving a Mazda 3 after his Range Rover collided with the smaller vehicle at Rose Bay in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Simon was not charged until February 13, almost a year after the late afternoon crash in New South Head Rd on March 14, 2017.
Main says he suffered an injury in the fracas, intends to vigorously defend the charge and will claim the alleged victim was in fact the aggressor.
Meanwhile, on Monday’s episode of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kyle addressed his recent health issues after taking six days off work in the past two weeks.
‘For everyone who’s kept texting, ringing, showing up unannounced, doing unauthorised newspaper articles… I’m not suicidal. Nothing’s wrong with me. I was actually ill!’ he said.

Illness: ‘I’ve got blood pressure medication. I’ve got sleep apnoea and I’m a fat thing,’ Kyle said
Concerns: Kyle claimed that his health situation was blown out of proportion by his colleagues, who showed up unannounced at his home over the weekend to check up on him

‘So I get into this cycle of gasping for breath, not getting enough oxygen and getting a migraine. I’ve got to have tablets, these things happen… I’m on new medication, which I told everyone a couple of weeks ago [would] make me funny for a couple of weeks. But they all forgot about that.’
Kyle also claimed that his situation was blown out of proportion by his colleagues, who showed up unannounced at his home over the weekend to check up on him.
He said: ‘Bruno [Bouchet, KIIS FM producer] and Jackie just appeared at my house on Friday at midday. Dinging on the doorbell, apparently. I was at the doctors, I wasn’t even there.
‘They just appeared without even a text – nothing. Showed up like an intervention!’
Kyle’s radio comeback comes after listeners feared the worst when his girlfriend Imogen Anthony, 27, claimed on Friday he was ‘extremely sick’.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘S**t’s f**ked for me sometimes… I’m NOT okay – my family received terrible news yesterday, therefore breaking everyone apart over GODDAMN money. I heard of three deaths last week [and] my partner is extremely sick.’
However, she clarified over the weekend that Kyle was ‘alive’ and recovering at their $3million Southern Highlands property.
She told her social media followers: ‘Kyle is alive, he just needed to get well and on top of it before forcing himself back to work. He will be back chirpy and bright Monday morning.’
In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday from the couple’s farm, Kyle was heard sounding rather hoarse and barely audible. It was his first sighting in nearly a week.
The pair were heard briefly discussing the logistics of feeding their pet camel, with Kyle’s quiet and croaky voice contrasting with Imogen’s clear, booming tone.
