Deal: Food blogger Ella Mills (pictured) has sold her Deliciously Ella brand to Swiss food manufacturer Hero Group
Food blogger Ella Mills and her husband Matthew have netted a multi-million pound windfall after Deliciously Ella was bought by a Swiss manufacturer.
Hero Group has bought the brand, which sells a range of healthy snacks and recipe books, for an undisclosed sum.
The sale includes its app, which offers more than 2,000 recipes to subscribers. It involves Deliciously Ella branded products and the Milton Keynes factory that makes them.
But the couple will retain ownership of the Plants brand, which sells its own food range. They will also continue to own Plants by Deliciously Ella, a restaurant in Mayfair, London.
Their business started when Mills, 33, daughter of supermarket heiress Camilla Sainsbury and former minister Shaun Woodward, started a food blog in 2012.
Husband Matthew is the son of Labour politician Baroness Jowell, who died in 2018.
