Desperate search for girl, 13, who escaped from the bedroom of her family home in Sydney almost 24 hours ago

  • Mariam Wehb was last seen at her family home in Sydney’s south west 
  • The 13 year old was reported missing at 7.30 on Sunday from Yagoona
  • She’s been known to frequent Bankstown and Georges Hall areas  

A 13-year-old girl vanished from her family home in Sydney’s south-west through her bedroom window and hasn’t been seen since. 

A desperate search is underway to find Mariam Wehb after her parents discovered she wasn’t in bed at about 7.30am on Sunday morning. 

She was last seen at about 5pm on Saturday before vanishing from the family home on Dutton Street home in Yagoona some time during the night.

Police aren’t treating the disappearance as suspicious but have raised alarm bells because of the girl’s young age.

Ms Wehbi is described as being Middle Eastern in appearance, between 150-160 cm tall, with a skinny build, long brown hair with blonde streaks and brown eyes.   

She was last seen wearing black leggings and black jumper.

The teen is known to frequent Bankstown and Georges Hall, including the vicinity of Paul Keating Park and The Crest.
